Tangled Up in Black Sabbath
Jim Pascoe

Early one morning the sun was shining
I was laying in my bed
Wondering if she had changed at all
Or if her hair was still red

Her folks had said our life together
Sure was going to be real rough
Never did like Mama's homemade dress
Heavy boots of lead weren't big enough

She didn't love me
She just turned her head
She didn't love me
I am the iron man
She didn't want me
I just stare at the world
Planning my vengeance
I am the iron man

She was married when we first met
Soon to be divorced
I help her out of a jam
I guess I used a little bit too much force

We drove that car as far as we could
Into the great magnetic field
Broke up on the docks that night
Just because I was made of steel

She didn't love me
She just turned her head
She didn't love me
I am the iron man
She didn't want me
I just stare at the world
Planning my vengeance
I am the iron man

She was working at a topless place
I stopped in there for a beer
I just stared at the side of her face
In the great spotlight so clear
Later on when the crowd thinned out
I was just about to do the same
She was standing at the back of my chair
"Iron Man, don't I know your name?"
