No, I'm not talking about that character on Desperate Housewives;I'm talking about my non-desperate, non-housewife wife Gabrielle, who today celebrates her birthday. (My mother-in-law is convinced that because Gab works in the ABC Building that the DH producers named their super-model character after her.)
Like many lucky husbands, I feel that Gabrielle should be given the very best of everything on every day. Perhaps this is the one day when we try even harder to make it happen. Some of you know Gab, and some of you do not. But please do me a favor and join me in wishing her the happiest of birthdays by leaving a well-wishing comment here. // posted at

I'm not sure I understand the continuing obsession with hobbits. For my money, Jim should definitely be named Mr. Onthehill.
Anyway, Rochelle, Owen, and I wish you the happiest of birthdays, Gab.
Speaking of hobbits, this weekend I was helping out Gab at one of her work functions -- an international press junket -- and I met Dominic Monaghan and his new "secret girlfriend," who clearly turns out to be hot and famous. Gabrielle spent a good amount of time talking with both of them, and when I said -- at dinner with her co-workers -- that maybe they were trying to get her involved in a threesome, one of the co-workers accused me of wanting to be involved.
I clarified that I had said "threesome," and were I to be involved it would turn into a foursome. Which would be okay, because, as I told everyone that night, "I would fuck a hobbit."
Maybe we should put all this hobbit business to rest.
I came here to post happy birthday wishes to a woman who is clearly a saint, but first let me say:
