I had a wonderful time last night seeing one of my favorite bands perform:
Einsturzende Neubauten. After the show I met
Blixa Bargeld, who was described on stage as "the Brian Wilson of the Avant-Garde" ... I thought this had a nice resonance with "the David Bowie of Publishing." We talked a little about music,
Jon Brion, and Popeye. Then Gabrielle and I went home.
