That's right. Believe it or not, I was not joking last night: I really spent the entire day Sunday being filming getting a de-green makeover for a soon-to-be nationally broadcast reality show. My lovely fiancee Gabrielle cooked the whole thing up. UglyTown partner Tom Fassbender helped in the deception -- he dragged me into the UglyTown office early Sunday morning where I was ambushed by a film crew, throw in a limo, and driven to Beverly Hills.
The show (or "the experience" as the producers kept wanting me to call it) latched onto this idea of remaking me into the David Bowie of publishing. If they say it on TV, it must be true. Already, I've signed up to write a regular column -- called "Ugly Eye for the Mystery Guy" -- for the new magazine CrimeSpree. I've also just got a contract for a third Kim Possible book -- an original story this time, and not an episode adaptation. Now, I'm trying to finish up another magazine deadline before I head up to Berekely for an UglyTown sales conference. Regular updates to this site will resume; after all, it's a new era. // posted at
